Expert repair and maintenance

Has your bike been sitting in the basement or garage for years? Maybe you have been riding the rubber off the tires and your bike needs a little TLC. You know it could use a good tune up.

Now that you have decided Keswick Cycle is the place to get your bicycle worked on, what can you expect to have done? When you bring your bike to us we will give it a quick inspection and give you a free estimate on repair. During this time, we'll be able to see if things like brake pads, tires and cables etc. are needed.

Below is a checklist of adjustments made during your tune up. A good thing to do when dropping your bike off with us is to let the technician know if anything hasn't been working properly. This way we can pay close attention to those areas.

We do:

  1. True your wheels

  2. Adjust front and rear derailleurs

  3. Adjust front and rear brakes

  4. Adjust headset

  5. Adjust bottom bracket

  6. Check tension on all nuts and bolts

  7. Lube all moving parts

  8. Inflate tires to recommended pressure

  9. Check chain wear

  10. Check brake pad wear

  11. Check tire wear

  12. Check braking surface on rims

  13. Check grips and handle bar tape

  14. Clean frame and wheels

  15. Adjust hubs front and rear

  16. Wipe the bike down and polish the frame

  17. When we think the job is complete, we will test ride your bike to be sure it was done properly
